How to Disable Wallpaper Carousel on Your Xiaomi Phone

Wallpaper Carousel comes in handy, but the feature also serves ads which may be why you want to turn it off completely.

If ads are getting on your nerves, here's a handy guide on how to disable ads on your Xiaomi smartphone.

Follow these simple instructions to turn off Xiaomi's Wallpaper Carousel functionality:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Always-on display & Lock screen.
  3. Tap Wallpaper Carousel.
  4. On the next page, toggle off Turn on. This will disable the Wallpaper Carousel feature.

Remember, while you can turn off Wallpaper Carousel via Settings, the icon will still live on your lock screen. To get rid of it, follow these steps to uninstall the app:

  1. Open Settings > About phone.
  2. Select Storage and tap Apps and data.
  3. Look for Wallpaper Carousel on the app details page and select it.
  4. Tap Uninstall app at the bottom. Tap OK from the pop-up to confirm your choice. This will uninstall the app.

With Wallpaper Carousel uninstalled, the lock screen icon will disappear. If you wish to use the functionality in the future, you can download the Mi Wallpaper Carousel app from the Google Play Store.

If the app is unavailable, you might want to first change your region in the Google Play Store to download it.
